Ethical Values in Legal Profession

A legal literacy camp was organized at Shri Ram College of Law under the joint auspices of the District Legal Services Authority, Muzaffarnagar, and Shri Ram College of Law. The theme was "Ethical Values ​​in the Legal Profession."

Sita Ram A.D.J., Muzaffarnagar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Muzaffarnagar, attended the event as chief guests. The program was presided over by Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh, Research Director, Shri Ram Group of Colleges. The seminar was inaugurated by the guests lighting a lamp. The college welcomed the guests with a bouquet of flowers.

Opening the program, college spokesperson Aanchal Agarwal said that ethical values ​​are the hallmark of a good lawyer in the legal profession. If a lawyer practices with honesty, truthfulness, and integrity, trust in the judicial system increases in society. A lawyer is not only a representative of the client but also a protector of justice.

Following this, spokesperson Mini Singhal expressed her views, stating that the legal profession is not merely a game of arguments but a means of defending justice and truth. Only by upholding ethical values ​​can we gain society's trust. Law students expressed their views on the relevant topic. Prominent among them were Khushi Gehlot, BA-LLB 2nd year; Megha Sharma, BCom-LLB 4th year; Devnidhi, BA-LLB 1st year; Junera, LLB 1st year; Ms. Arish, BA-LLB 1st year; Shaivy, BA-LLB 3rd year; Varsha, BCom-LLB 3rd year; Vansh Vardhan; and Aman Naeem, BA-LLB 4th year.

These students expressed their views, stating that ethical values ​​are the foundation on which the entire judicial system stands. It is a lawyer's duty to maintain truth, confidentiality, credibility, and impartiality under all circumstances. Ethical values ​​are what make a lawyer an ideal advocate.

Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh, Director of Research, stated that a lawyer's duty is not only to win cases but also to uncover the truth. When a lawyer performs his duties with integrity, he elevates the dignity of the judiciary. Therefore, students should inculcate ethical values ​​in their lives from their earliest days.

The chief guest of the program, Mr. Sita Ram A.D.J., Muzaffarnagar, and Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Muzaffarnagar, expressed his views, stating that incorporating ethical values ​​into the legal profession is essential. Today's law students are tomorrow's judges and policymakers. If they adhere to ethical values ​​from the beginning, no one can prevent the future of the judicial system from becoming bright.

At the end of the program, guests were thanked by presenting them with mementos.
