The Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP) is an educational model that integrates practical apprenticeship training into undergraduate degree programs. It bridges the gap between classroom learning and industry requirements by incorporating practical experience, often with a stipend, as a mandatory part of the curriculum. The approach aims to improve graduates' employability by providing students with real-world skills and experience before entering the workforce. Apprenticeships can begin as early as the fifth semester, covering up to 33 percent of the degree duration. At least one semester of continuous apprenticeship is required.
Under a system aligned with the National Credit Framework, credits are awarded based on the number of hours spent in training. A full-year apprenticeship is equivalent to at least 20 credits. In his address, Chairman Sir explained that the AEDP is designed to enhance the employability of graduate students by incorporating apprenticeship training into their degree programs. Students will gain theoretical knowledge as well as experiential learning, providing them with the competencies required by employers. In his address, Chairman Dr. S.C. Kulshrestha emphasized the all-round development of students. He said, "College life is not just about academic education; it's about honing your personality, learning new skills, and developing your skills." It's also time to be a responsible citizen. He highlighted the importance of discipline, hard work, and consistency in life. He urged students to always keep their goals in mind and strive to achieve them. He encouraged students to keep themselves updated and study with a growth mindset. To encourage students, the Chairman rewarded students who answered the questions correctly. During the program, students were given detailed information about the college's academic structure, various departments, clubs, and sports facilities. Faculty members, including Dr. Ashfaq Ali, Head of the Department of Commerce, and Dr. Shweta Rathi, Dean of the B.Sc. Home Science Department, also benefited from the lecture.
