Shri Ram College, Muzaffarnagar: On the occasion of "Seva Pakhwada 2025," the Fine Arts Department of Shri Ram College organized a grand Rangoli and Card Making Competition. The program began with the lighting of a lamp, attended by Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shri Ram College, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director, Dr. Saurabh Mittal, Vice Principal, Dr. Vineet Sharma, Dean, Academics, and Dr. Manoj Dhiman, Director, Fine Arts.

"Seva Pakhwada 2025" is being celebrated across the country with the theme "Developed India / 2047." Various cultural and artistic activities are being organized to encourage the creativity and patriotism of the youth.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Manoj Dhiman stated that youth play a crucial role in realizing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of making India a fully developed nation by 2047. Students can make inspiring contributions towards realizing this dream through their art and creativity. Addressing the students, he stated that Dussehra is not just a festival, but a message that no matter how powerful falsehood, injustice, and unrighteousness may be, ultimately truth, righteousness, and justice prevail.

The Department of Fine Arts organized a grand rangoli competition to commemorate Vijayadashami. The theme of this competition was Dussehra, the triumph of good over evil.

The Faculty of Fine Arts also organized a vibrant card-making competition on the theme of Developed India 2047 as part of Seva Pakhwada 2025. The objective of this event was to encourage students to creatively present their vision of a developed India in 2047, a symbol of progress, innovation, sustainability, and cultural pride.The program began with a formal inauguration and welcome by the college's esteemed dignitaries. Dr. Prerna Mittal, Principal, Shri Ram College, inspired the students by emphasizing the importance of nurturing creative thinking and connecting it to the dream of a self-reliant and developed India.

On this occasion, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director, Shri Ram College, commended the Fine Arts Department for its efforts in instilling artistic and national values ​​among the youth. Dean Academics, Dr. Vineet Sharma, and Director Fine Arts, Dr. Manoj Dhiman, also attended the program, highlighting the role of art in nation-building.Over 70 students from various departments enthusiastically participated in the competition. Each card beautifully depicted innovative ideas on a developed India 2047, covering topics such as Digital India, green energy, education for all, women's empowerment, cultural heritage, and global leadership.

The judges praised the students' creativity, color combinations, and thoughtful presentation of the 2047 vision. Mementos for Winners The college management commended the participants' creativity and stated that such competitions foster respect and pride in students for Indian culture, art, and tradition.

The program was attended by a significant number of faculty members, students, and staff. Finally, a vote of thanks was presented by the Fine Arts Department.The honorary judges, Mrs. Nupur Goyal (SD Public School) and Mrs. Deepa Soni (SD Girls School, Muzaffarnagar), were present as special guests.The internal jury comprised Dr. Shweta Rathi and Dr. Pooja, who evaluated the participants' presentations.First place in the card-making competition went to Ikra Malik, second place to Zoya Khan, and third place to Shifa, B.Sc. (1st year CBZ). Consolation prizes in the card-making competition went to Alisha and Ashweka Malik.

Rangoli awards went to Mayank, Tulsi, Shivani Verma, and Jiya Jain (BFA), second place to Yukta (B.Ed., 2nd year), Aastha, Monica (M.Ed., and Mukta (B.Ed.), third place to Mahima and Meenakshi (B.F.A., 2nd year), and consolation prizes to Apeksha, Palak, Priya, Muskan, and Anju.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants, faculty members, and dignitaries who contributed to the success of the competition. The Faculty of Fine Arts reiterated its commitment to organizing such programs that foster imagination, patriotism, and innovation among students.

Meenakshi Kakran, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Anu, Binnu Pundir, Reena Sagar, Mayank Wani, Ajit Kumar, and Shahzadi played a significant role in making the program a success.Finally, the winning participants were honored and encouraged to advance the vision of a "Developed India 2047."
