A guest lecture was organized by the Basic Science Department of Shri Ram College on the topic Organic Farming for Soil Health. The main objective of this lecture was to make the students of BSc faculty familiar with the utility and benefits of organic farming. On this occasion, the chief speaker was Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director of Shri Ram College, and the special guests were Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal and Dean Academics of the college, Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the chief speaker Dr. Ashok Kumar, Principal of Shri Ram College, Dr. Prerna Mittal, Dean Academics Dr. Vineet Kumar Sharma and Head of the Department, Dr. Pooja Tomar. After this, Assistant Professor of Basic Science Department, Meenal Mann, told the students about the biography and achievements of Director Dr. Ashok Kumar.

On this occasion, the keynote speaker Dr. Ashok Kumar in his special lecture told about various basic facts related to agriculture such as soil health, reasons for lack of nutrients in the soil and the ill-effects of their deficiency in the agriculture sector in today's time. He told that these ill-effects can be overcome through organic farming. He also told about the introduction, requirements, price impact of organic farming and the benefits of organic farming through various methods. After the lecture, he answered the questions asked by Krish, Anjali, Ashwani Sharma and other students with examples. On this occasion, the Head of the Department of Basic Science, Dr. Pooja Tomar thanked Dr. Ashok Kumar for this lecture by presenting a plant to him. The keynote speaker and director of the college, Dr. Ashok Kumar, encouraged the students present in the program. Dr. Pooja Tomar, Head of Basic Science Department, thanked the special guest, Shri Ram College Principal Dr. Prerna Mittal, Dean Academic, Dr. Vineet Sharma, keynote speaker Dr. Ashok Kumar and all the students present.
