The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Shri Ram Group of Colleges, Muzaffarnagar is organizing a one-day national workshop on the topic of 'Python with IoT' under the 'Center of Excellence'. On this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Dr. SN Chauhan and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Ashish Chauhan, welcomed the chief guests by presenting them with a bouquet.
Chief Technical Officer Rohit Kumar and Software Engineer Sambhav Verma from Softpro India Pvt. Ltd., Lucknow were the chief guests and speakers in the workshop. Rohit Kumar, while throwing light on the Python programming language, said that Python is a high-level, simple and easy-to-read programming language which is considered very suitable for IoT projects. Extensive library support and the ability to easily integrate with hardware make it useful for IoT. Popular IoT hardware platforms like 'Raspberry Pi' support Python, which makes it easy to use the device and connect it to the network.
On this occasion, the keynote speaker Rohit Kumar shed light on the topic and said that many useful projects can be made by combining IoT and Python, in which home automation is an example. In this project, consumers can control the electrical appliances of their home such as fan, television etc. with mobile or voice signals.
In the next session, the trainers from the company explained the practical form of IoT through self-made IoT kit, which gave the students an opportunity to learn by doing themselves, in which they worked on three projects.
At the end of the program, Dr. S.C. Kulshreshtha, Chairman of Shriram Group of Colleges, praised the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and said that such workshops increase the enthusiasm of the students and also give them knowledge of new and updated technology, which helps them in future placements.
After the completion of the workshop, the Director of the college Dr. S.N. Chauhan presented a memento to the chief guests and while expressing his views, he said that such workshops should be organized in the institute so that the students can be guided for a bright future.
At the end of the workshop, the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering Ashish Chauhan thanked the chief guests and said that the institute will continue to work in coordination with you in the future so that the students will get opportunities to progress.
